Workshops & Experiences

Come join us in the shop for a unique experience and handcraft your own glass masterpiece!

What you’ll learn

  • Learn about the shop and safety features. Select the shape you would like to create and the colors you would like to apply.

  • Work 1:1 with one of our Glassblowers to apply the colors you have chose for your glass piece. We will explain add demonstrate how to gather then get the pipe with the gather into your hands to apply your colors.

  • Once you have applied your color, you will add the gather to the furnace to heat and begin working directly with the glassblower to shape your piece. Depending on your selected item you will be touching the molten glass with tools to shape and if the item requires blowing you will also assist in shaping the bubble.

Meet Our Team

Aaron Tate Lead Glassblower, 30 Years

My passion for glass began the first moment I saw it when I was 18 years old in Tucson Arizona. Since that time I have never left the glass shop. Learning constantly, as I worked in factories and for artists, during a long career in Seattle Washington. I make all types of glass, being a craftsman, artisan, sculptor, and teacher...

Gabrielle Lewis Glassblower, 8 Years

The first time I picked up a pipe and worked directly with hot glass, I knew I'd found my passion...

Blowing glass is mentally and physically demanding and a wonderfully rewarding experience.

Even on those days when everything seems to be crash landing on the floor, there is no where I'd rather be...  I am always learning and striving to improve, it's truly a lifetime pursuit and I love it!

I am very thankful to be able to create, add beauty and generate thought through my art work.

  • No all pieces once finished are put in our annealing oven to slowly cool over 10 - 14 hrs. Typically your piece will be available the next business day, after any final cold-working required. On they day of your workshop you will be provided pick up details.

  • Where comfortable clothing and closed to shoes. There is not a requirement but if you have sensitive eye sunglasses are nice. If you forget no worries we typically have several pair available to borrow. The shop can get warm so layers are always nice to help adjust temperature. We have a small gallery room where jackets and purses can be held during your workshop

  • Food and drinks are allowed in the gallery and kitchen area. And we do provide water and a restroom for our guests

  • There are upgrades available for most pieces dependent on time and availability of annealer space. Just work with a team member and if we can accommodate we will. We will review the possible upgrades when you are selecting your shape and colors.

  • Absolutely, we have a Memorial Workshop. Where you work with a Glassblower to add memorial ash to a piece. Just let us know when you are scheduling your workshop.
